A good LED upgrade keeps the qualities people enjoy in halogen lighting: warm colour, a useful beam and a comfortable evening setting. It also gives us an opportunity to improve the placement and control of the light throughout the room.
Review the existing fittings
We look at the lamps, fittings, transformers or drivers and the controls serving them. Some rooms suit a carefully selected replacement lamp; others benefit from new architectural fittings. We choose the route around the existing installation and the result you want.
Compare the light in the room
Colour temperature, colour rendering and beam shape all affect the finish. A sample lets you see the light on your walls, fabrics and furniture before a wider change. Orluna is one of the ranges we use when selecting architectural lighting for a considered interior.
LEDs can provide the required light using less power than comparable halogen sources. We compare the actual products and operating hours when discussing the change.
Make dimming part of the upgrade
The lamp or driver and the dimmer are selected together. We test the low-level behaviour, adjust supported settings and programme the room scenes. This is particularly valuable in homes with Lutron or Rako, where several circuits come together in one setting.
Refresh the whole scheme
A refurbishment can also introduce task lighting, a softer wall wash or a better focus on artwork. We coordinate those improvements with the interior and the installation programme.
Talk to us about your lighting. We can help plan a change from halogen to LED that looks right from bright daytime use to a relaxed evening.
