This policy explains how London Electricals Ltd uses personal information collected through www.londonelectricals.co.uk, mainly when you send an enquiry or use one of our online system builders. Last updated 8 October 2026.

What we collect
When you send an enquiry we receive the details you enter: your name, email address and, if you give them, your phone number, postcode or project location, property type, the systems involved and your message.
If you use an online system builder, we also receive the rooms, choices and notes you add, and any drawings you choose to upload. Please do not include passwords, access codes or other sensitive information.
We record basic technical information needed to run the website securely, such as the time of a request and protection against automated spam.
How we use it and why
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, discuss your project, arrange a survey or engineer visit and prepare a quotation or proposal. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and, where you ask us to quote or plan work, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Analytics and cookies
Optional analytics, including Google Analytics, only run if you choose Allow analytics in the analytics choices panel. They help us understand which pages are useful. If you decline, they stay off. You can change your choice at any time using Privacy choices at the foot of every page.
Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage. Videos are only loaded from YouTube if you press Load video.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run the website and our email, acting on our instructions:
- OVHcloud hosts the website, the enquiry system and our email.
- Cloudflare protects and delivers the website.
- Google provides analytics, only if you allow it.
- OpenAI reads room information from drawings, only if you upload drawings to a system builder.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as adequacy regulations or approved contract clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, so we can answer follow-up questions about the same project. If you become a customer, project and accounting records are kept for as long as the law and our contract with you require.
Drawings you upload to a system builder, and the room information read from them, are deleted automatically seven days after upload.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it and object to our use of it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.
