Make sense of circuits, dimming and DALI.
A circuit is a group of lights controlled together, not necessarily one fitting. Record the circuits in each room and whether they need dimming, switching or DALI control. For DALI, driver addresses also matter. Enter known driver load information where available and leave uncertain details for professional review rather than guessing.
Choose controls that belong in your interior.
Explore Alisse, seeTouch, Palladiom and Pico options in the builder. Consider where controls should sit, how many locations you need and how each room will be used. Finish choices and wired or wireless requirements form part of the brief; device compatibility and coverage are confirmed during system design.
See the shared equipment, not just the wall controls.
The planning engine produces an equipment allowance for modules, processors and control power supplies. We house the system in Future Automation panels, not Lutron enclosures. The default panel plan allows at least 20% spare module space per panel; a compact alternative requires explicit review. Electrical loading, wiring, physical layout and commissioning still need professional confirmation.
Understand what the estimate does—and does not—include.
Lutron equipment currently requires a quotation. Adding a keypad changes the equipment plan but does not add a published Lutron price to the shared project subtotal. Any priced Sonos or Orluna equipment is shown separately from the outstanding Lutron quotation. This helps you discuss scope without mistaking a partial subtotal for a complete system price.

Build your project first
Name your project and add your rooms. You can enter them yourself or import a floor plan and check the proposed rooms before confirming them.
Choose your systems
Select Lutron HomeWorks Builder and open a room to configure it. Sonos, Orluna and Lutron use the same room list; you can leave rooms without a system unconfigured.
Review, edit and prioritise
See saved selections together in the project review, with shared equipment listed separately. Reopen rooms to change choices or remove a system from a room. Check the priced subtotal and the items still requiring a quotation.
Save, then agree the next step
Changes are saved on your device. To save online, request an email link, verify your address and save the project. Review each system before sending its equipment enquiry. Nothing is ordered or charged just by building.
Before you start
A few useful answers.
Is this a final HomeWorks design?
No. It is a planning allowance and enquiry starting point. The final design must confirm loads, driver compatibility, control links, power supplies, panel layout, wireless coverage and commissioning requirements.
Do you supply Lutron-branded panels?
This builder plans Future Automation enclosures to house the Lutron equipment. Panel selection is part of the design review.
Why does my project subtotal stay the same when I add a keypad?
The Lutron builder currently has quotation-required equipment rather than live selling prices. Your keypad is included in the plan, but its cost is excluded from the priced equipment subtotal until quoted.
