Overview
Sonos system builder: plan your sound and equipment budget
Buying Sonos or planning an installation? Explore music and TV sound room by room, see available equipment prices and bring your choices into one home project.
Your home. Your priorities.
Better sound starts with the way you live.
A soundbar for film nights. Music that follows you from the kitchen to the garden. Speakers that disappear into the ceiling. Start with what you want to enjoy, then use our Sonos builder to explore the equipment behind it—before committing to a purchase.
Buying Sonos, but unsure what the whole system will cost?
One product price rarely tells the whole story. A room may need a soundbar, a subwoofer or additional speakers; an architectural audio system also needs the right amplification. The builder brings your selected equipment together and shows available VAT-inclusive prices, so you can see the priced subtotal rather than adding up separate shopping tabs.
Choose some guidance—or choose your own products.
Tell the guided builder whether a room is for music, TV or both. If you already know what you want, use the manual route to choose your Sonos equipment. Sonos Amp needs compatible passive speakers or a declaration that you already have them. Sonos Port needs suitable amplification or powered speakers; a Blaze amplification design request remains subject to review, not an invented fixed-price bundle.
Keep what matters. Revisit what can wait.
Open a room again to change its products, or remove the Sonos choices from that room without removing its lighting plans. Review the priced equipment subtotal as you refine the scope. You can prioritise the rooms you use most and discuss the remaining rooms with us, rather than assuming every area needs the same system.
Supply only or professional installation?
Use the equipment plan as a starting point for buying products, or request professional installation. Cable routes, TV connections, speaker positions, network coverage and commissioning may need a survey. Installation is quoted separately; the online equipment estimate is not a final installed price.
A clear way to begin
From your first room to your whole project.
Build your project first
Name your project and add your rooms. You can enter them yourself or import a floor plan and check the proposed rooms before confirming them.
Choose your systems
Select Sonos Builder and open a room to configure it. Sonos, Orluna and Lutron use the same room list; you can leave rooms without a system unconfigured.
Review, edit and prioritise
See saved selections together in the project review, with shared equipment listed separately. Reopen rooms to change choices or remove a system from a room. Check the priced subtotal and the items still requiring a quotation.
Save, then agree the next step
Changes are saved on your device. To save online, request an email link, verify your address and save the project. Review each system before sending its equipment enquiry. Nothing is ordered or charged just by building.
Before you start
A few useful answers.
Does the Sonos builder show a complete installation price?
No. It shows available equipment pricing including VAT. Installation, unpriced items and any additional work identified during a survey are excluded and need a separate quotation.
Can I include speakers or amplification I already own?
The manual route lets you declare existing equipment where supported. Share its exact model when you contact us so we can check compatibility; an existing-equipment declaration is not a technical approval.
How many rooms can I configure?
The online Sonos builder supports up to 12 configured rooms. Your shared project can contain more rooms for other systems; contact us to discuss a larger audio design.
Explore your options at your own pace.
No pressure to finish everything today. Start with what you know, or ask us to help you shape the brief.
