For a new installation
We begin with the rooms, lighting circuits, dimming requirements, preferred keypad positions and any blinds or integrations. Then we check the loads and drivers, suitable device locations, wireless coverage and the processor's network and power provision. This matters even in a wireless system: the controls still have to suit the wiring and lamps in the property.
The proposal should identify equipment, finishes, electrical work, programming, testing and handover. An agreed scene list gives the homeowner something concrete to review before programming begins.
For an RA2 Select or RadioRA 2 upgrade
We record exact model numbers and the current behaviour before suggesting what can remain. Some earlier devices may be compatible with RadioRA 3; others will need replacing. Is RadioRA 3 right for this house?
It often fits a retrofit or phased renovation that needs professional programming and more customisation than a simple RA2 Select brief. A large new-build or highly integrated home may be better served by HomeWorks. Our three-system comparison explains the trade-offs.
