Begin with the experience you want

Tell us how you picture using the room: films, television, sport, gaming or a mixture. We’ll work through the seating, everyday family use and controls with you. A dedicated cinema and a flexible media room offer different experiences; our comparison guide helps you explore the choice.

Bring the room information

Bring any plans, photographs and dimensions you have. We’ll review the windows, doors, ceiling height and adjoining rooms, then work out how the equipment can fit naturally into the space. For a refurbishment, we’ll also look at the features and finishes you want to keep.

Plan light, sound and heat together

Projection performance depends on the screen, the projector and the amount of light reaching the image. Speakers depend on position, room geometry and the seating area. Equipment needs ventilation, and occupants need a comfortable room once the door is closed. These are connected design questions, not separate accessories.

Acoustic treatment improves the way sound behaves inside the room. Sound isolation is construction intended to reduce transfer to neighbouring spaces. If late-night use or close neighbours matter, raise the issue at the start rather than assuming decorative panels solve it.

Media room with a wall-mounted display and integrated lighting — A shared room may trade some cinema performance for daylight, social use and a less technical appearance.

Can existing equipment be reused?

Existing speakers, cables, displays and racks can be assessed for reuse. We test their condition and suitability, then show you which parts can support the new design and where a change will make a worthwhile difference.

What should a proposal include?

A room and seating layout with the intended screen and speaker positions.
A clear split between AV equipment, room works and items by others.
First-fix requirements, equipment location, ventilation and access.
The control experience, including lighting or shading interfaces.
Installation, programming, calibration and handover.
Account ownership, warranties and the ongoing support arrangement.
