Choose the control system before the keypad finish

A keypad is the visible part of a wider lighting-control design. The exact model must suit the system generation, regional specification and wiring. Similar-looking controls are not necessarily interchangeable.

The examples below identify specific parts, rather than assuming every keypad in a family is interchangeable. UK selection references reviewed 8 September 2026.

For homes where visible controls are a central design decision, review the Alisse finishes and room-planning guide. Compare a real sample with the surrounding finishes. Do not finalise engraving until the scene names and button behaviour have been agreed.

Plan a consistent room schedule

List every keypad location and the room it serves.
Describe what each scene should do, including any shading commands.
Agree clear labels that guests and family can understand.
Coordinate mounting positions with joinery, switches and door furniture.
Retain the final schedule with the handover information.

Upgrading an existing system
