Decide what adjustable colour should achieve

Tunable-white lighting allows a compatible system to adjust the appearance of white light. Begin with the intended room use and the range of settings the homeowner actually wants.

Check the complete control path

A DALI label alone does not confirm that a fitting, driver, interface and processor will deliver the proposed behaviour. Verify the exact equipment, supported colour-control mode and commissioning requirements with the manufacturers.

  • Agree the intended light levels and colour settings.
  • Coordinate decorative and architectural sources.
  • Decide which settings are manual and which are scheduled.
  • Test how scenes change between settings in the real room.

Keep the claims proportionate

Adjustable lighting can support personal preferences and room activities. It should not be sold as a guaranteed improvement to sleep, productivity, mood or treatment of seasonal affective disorder.
