Sonos music, TV sound and discreet whole-home audio, designed and installed around your rooms. Network setup, commissioning and support for existing systems.
Music throughout your home. Sound that belongs in the room.
London Electricals brings over ten years of Sonos installation experience to simple room systems and more complex whole-home arrangements. We tailor the sound to the way you live, the acoustics of each space and the finish of your interior—from a beautifully placed speaker to discreet ceiling audio and a considered television setup.
Our service brings together product selection, installation, network setup and support for existing systems. A good Sonos installation should be easy to use every day, with equipment and cabling planned as carefully as the sound.
We start with where you listen and what you want each space to do. These are some of the current options we can consider; the final combination depends on the room, connections and installation scope.
Everyday music and dedicated listening
Era 100 offers a compact starting point for room audio. Era 300 is an option for spatial-audio listening, while Five suits a dedicated music space. We plan placement, power and any stands or wall mounts around the furniture. A Move 2 adds portable listening for someone who wants to carry their music between spaces.
Television sound and surround systems
Arc Ultra and Beam (Gen 2) suit different room sizes and TV arrangements; Ray remains an option for an optical-connected setup. Sub Mini or Sub 4 can add bass with a compatible system. Rear speakers need to match the chosen soundbar—we confirm the pairing before specifying them. Dolby Atmos also depends on the TV connection, source and content; fitting an Atmos-capable soundbar alone does not guarantee an Atmos signal.
We check TV connections, mounting clearances, dialogue, lip-sync and remote operation. If you want projection, concealed equipment or a more extensive cinema system, explore our media room installations.
Discreet ceiling speakers and whole-home audio
Sonos Amp powers suitable passive speakers; Sonos Port brings streaming to an existing amplifier or receiver. For a larger wired installation, Amp Multi provides eight amplified outputs assignable across up to four zones. It needs a designed speaker and cabling layout, rather than simply replacing every amplifier in an existing system.
For example, a kitchen and bedroom may need independent music and volume, while several speakers in one open-plan living space may belong to a single zone. We agree that listening plan before choosing the amplification. Read our Sonos Amp Multi installation guide for the rack-based approach.
How we install your Sonos system
Plan the rooms and the finish. We discuss music, TV and independent zones; review existing equipment and network access; and agree visible or concealed speakers. For renovation work, we coordinate cable routes, ceiling positions, power and access with the project team before finishes are closed.
Install and connect. We position or mount the equipment, route and label agreed cabling, and check speaker loads and amplifier ventilation. Wi-Fi coverage and any Ethernet connections are designed around the selected Sonos models. A faster broadband package alone will not fix weak coverage inside the home.
Commission and hand over. We configure room names and music services with your account, test playback and grouping, and check TV audio where included. We use the tuning available for the selected products—Trueplay where supported, or Amp Multi's ProTune where specified. Handover covers daily controls, account ownership and the agreed support route.
We also help with existing Sonos One, Arc, Playbar and other earlier installations. The starting point is an equipment and app-generation check, not a blanket replacement. Some older products require Sonos S1, while newer products use the current Sonos app; separate S1 and current-app systems cannot simply be grouped together.
Earlier-generation Sonos Playbar. Existing equipment is assessed for continued use; this is not a current Arc or Arc Ultra.
For disappearing rooms, dropouts or problems following a router change, we assess the product mix, network and connections before recommending changes. Visit our Sonos repairs and installation support page.
Planning the installation and its cost
The Sonos builder gives an indicative equipment estimate including VAT. A site quotation also considers speaker quantities, cable routes, mounting, network work, commissioning and any making-good responsibilities. Ceiling-speaker systems and Amp Multi installations need a project-specific design; a room count alone cannot price the work accurately.
