Why an authorised dealer matters

Programming access

Every Control4 system is configured in Composer Pro, Snap One’s dealer software. Only an authorised dealer can change your rooms, scenes and schedules, or add new equipment.

Genuine equipment and warranty

We buy through Snap One, so controllers, keypads, touchscreens and remotes come with the manufacturer’s warranty and current software.

Remote care

With your permission we monitor the network and controller remotely through Snap One’s OvrC platform, and fix many issues without a visit.

Account ownership

Your customer account, licences and project backups are registered properly and handed over clearly. Nothing is tied to a single engineer.

What we install with Control4

Lighting control

Control4 keypads and dimmers, or Control4 working alongside Lutron HomeWorks and RadioRA 3 where you want Lutron keypads and shading. Scenes for evenings, cinema, away and night are set around how you use each room.

Multi-room music and television

Music in every zone you choose, streaming services on the remote and touchscreens, and televisions that turn on to the right source first time.

Home cinema and media rooms

Projector, screen, processor and lighting brought together, so one button starts the film.

Climate, shading and entry

Heating and cooling schedules, motorised blinds and curtains, and video door entry on touchscreens and phones.

The network underneath

Most Control4 problems trace back to the network, so we design and install the WiFi and wired network the system depends on.

We walk the rooms with you and agree what each space should do.

Design and proposal

You receive a room-by-room design, equipment list and fixed proposal.

First-fix wiring

On renovations and new builds we coordinate cabling with your builder and electrician, or carry out the electrical work ourselves. The wider design and build programme depends on your architect and contractors, and we plan our work around it.

Installation and programming

We install the equipment and program it in Composer Pro. A single room is usually installed and programmed in one to two days; on a whole home, programming is typically complete within about a week of second fix.

Handover

We show the household how everything works and hand over the account and backups.

Ongoing care

Remote monitoring and support plans keep the system current and reliable.

Already have Control4?

Many London homes come with a Control4 system from a previous owner, or from an installer who is no longer available. How much does Control4 cost?

Every home is different, but as a guide:

  • One room of music or TV control: from £2,500
  • Home cinema or media room control: from £6,000, excluding the cinema equipment itself
  • Whole-home lighting, AV and climate control: typically £20,000–£60,000+

The controller sets the starting point. At UK list prices a CORE 1 controller is £852, a CORE 3 is £1,558 and a CORE 5 is £3,346; a Halo remote is £494 and a keypad dimmer £218. Your proposal itemises every product, the programming and the installation.

Control4, Savant, Crestron or Lutron?

Control4 suits homes that want one easy interface across many brands at a sensible cost. Savant and Crestron suit some larger or more bespoke projects, and Lutron leads on lighting and shading. Are you an authorised Control4 dealer?

Yes. London Electricals is an authorised Control4 dealer, so we can supply, program and support Control4 equipment directly.

Can you take over my existing Control4 system?

Yes. We review the controller, account and any available project backups, then propose a takeover. If the previous installer cannot transfer the account, Snap One has a process for moving it to a new dealer.

Can I change my own Control4 programming?

You can change some things yourself in the Control4 app, such as favourites and some schedules. Changes to devices, rooms and most scenes need dealer programming.

Does Control4 work with Lutron lighting?

Yes. Control4 integrates with Lutron systems, so you can keep Lutron keypads and shading and control them alongside music, TV and climate.

Do you install Control4 in new builds and renovations?

Yes. Involving us before first-fix wiring gives the best result and avoids chasing walls later.
