UniFi and RUCKUS
Identify UniFi console or controller ownership, backups and adopted devices. For RUCKUS, establish whether the installation uses Unleashed, SmartZone, ZoneDirector or a cloud-managed platform before planning maintenance.

Reliable connected living begins with a network somebody understands. We assess existing Wi-Fi, switches and gateways and build a documented support plan.
A fast broadband package cannot explain every dropped music zone, unreliable touchscreen or weak bedroom connection. An existing home network may contain equipment from several installers, with a controller nobody can access and no clear record of how it connects. We start by mapping that installation and the household services that depend on it.
The assessment distinguishes the internet connection from wired distribution and Wi-Fi coverage. We review where switches and access points are installed, which devices need power over Ethernet, and where AV or control equipment relies on particular network settings. Coverage observations and cabling limitations help shape the next step; they are not replaced by an advertised router speed.
For UniFi and RUCKUS takeovers, retaining working hardware may be possible once the exact models, controller platform, access and support status are understood. The handover proposal identifies ownership, available backups, urgent defects and planned improvements. Monitoring can then be scoped around the devices we can actually see and support, with maintenance windows agreed for changes.

Review broadband handoff, gateways, switching, access points, PoE, cabling and dependent AV or control equipment. Distinguish slow broadband from poor wireless coverage and an isolated device fault.
Tell us about Araknis, Pakedge, NETGEAR, Cisco or Aruba equipment already installed. We assess exact models, management access, licensing and support status before agreeing coverage; a brand name alone does not establish compatibility.
Your household should retain appropriate ownership of its accounts. We agree delegated access, guest-network boundaries, remote support permissions and the devices covered by monitoring. Firmware changes are reviewed for compatibility and carried out in an agreed window; automatically installing every update is not our default takeover plan.
We agree an engineer assessment before taking responsibility for ongoing care. The outcome is a practical system record and a prioritised proposal: retain, stabilise, recover and improve. Available configuration is protected before changes, and work affecting occupied rooms is planned with you.
A network takeover does not automatically require a new provider. We assess the broadband handoff and the network inside the property separately. If the evidence points to a provider or line issue, we explain that boundary rather than promise an access-point replacement will resolve it.
Often the first step is to understand their condition, management platform and support status. We look at coverage, capacity, cabling and the needs of connected systems before proposing replacements. Any controller migration or ownership transfer is planned with backups and a recovery route.
Yes. Tell us the care approach you prefer. We then assess the installation and propose the scope, monitoring options, response arrangements and price. An enquiry does not activate support or book an engineer automatically.
Manufacturer guidance informs the assessment; exact installed models, access and current support status are checked before work is agreed.
