A fresh start for a system already part of your home

Support for an existing Crestron Home installation, with careful configuration handover, room testing and a tailored plan for the years ahead.

Keep everyday control familiar while making the handover clear.

A Crestron Home installation can bring lighting, shading, entertainment and climate interfaces into a single room-based experience. When you inherit the property, the immediate need is often simpler: understand the scenes, use the rooms confidently and know who can help when something changes.

We begin by confirming the platform and reviewing the configuration with the household. A scene that no longer suits the way you live is a different issue from a device that is offline. The assessment records those differences, the available backups and the dependencies on the network and connected equipment.

If you want to add a room, change a source or revisit the lighting and shading routines, those changes can be scoped alongside the takeover. We agree how affected functions will be tested and what the handover will include. Continuing care is tailored to the installation; monitoring and updates depend on the equipment and authorised access available.

What we assess

Identify the Home platform

Confirm that the processor runs Crestron Home and record its version, rooms, devices and integrations. Crestron Home and a custom-programmed Crestron system require different recovery plans.

Backups and access

Review setup access, available local or cloud configuration backups and the route to an authorised handover. A replacement processor needs compatible restore data and the correct migration procedure.

Keep daily routines familiar

Test scenes, lights, shading, AV and climate interfaces with the household. Review third-party drivers and app access before updates, then document any limitations and the agreed maintenance scope.

A takeover built around your installation

A factory reset can erase the configuration and paired devices. We establish a backup and recovery path first, then agree changes and test affected rooms. Monitoring and remote access are proposed only where the installed equipment and permissions support them.

The first visit and what follows

We agree an engineer assessment before taking responsibility for ongoing care. The outcome is a practical system record and a prioritised proposal: retain, stabilise, recover and improve. Available configuration is protected before changes, and work affecting occupied rooms is planned with you.

Your Crestron Home takeover questions

I only know that the house has Crestron. Where do we start?

That is enough for an initial enquiry. Tell us which rooms and functions are involved and whether you have a handover pack. We identify Crestron Home versus a custom-programmed system during the review; you do not need to make that technical decision first.

Is a Crestron Home takeover the same as custom Crestron?

No. Crestron Home has its own configuration and backup workflow. A bespoke Crestron installation can also depend on editable source code, custom modules and touchscreen projects. If you are unsure which you have, we identify it during the initial review.

Can I request an SLA before you visit?

Yes. Tell us the care approach you prefer. We then assess the installation and propose the scope, monitoring options, response arrangements and price. An enquiry does not activate support or book an engineer automatically.

Technical references

Manufacturer guidance informs the assessment; exact installed models, access and current support status are checked before work is agreed.
