RTI System Takeovers & Home Technology Support

Bring clarity to an inherited RTI installation: controllers, remotes, touchscreens, AV and network dependencies reviewed as one system.

A fresh start for a system already part of your home

Bring clarity to an inherited RTI installation: controllers, remotes, touchscreens, AV and network dependencies reviewed as one system.

Make the remote, the room and the equipment work together.

An RTI remote or touchscreen may operate television sources, amplifiers, a video matrix and other room controls. When a button stops producing the expected result, the problem can sit anywhere along that path. We assess the installation around the activities you use, rather than treating the remote as the whole system.

A useful starting brief describes the room, the selected source and what happens next: picture without sound, the wrong zone responding, or a sequence that only works after a restart. We review those symptoms alongside processor access, available Integration Designer files and the network. This creates a practical basis for diagnosis without promising that missing programming can always be recovered.

For a supported takeover, the proposal sets out the retained equipment, required remedial work, available configuration and the room functions to test at handover. Changes such as a new television, revised source selection or a wider AV refresh can then be scoped deliberately. Ongoing support follows the equipment and access we can responsibly cover.

What we assess

Preserve the programming

Identify the processor and Integration Designer project version, locate available project files and record drivers and licences. Back up usable files before planning changes.

Check the full control path

An unresponsive touchscreen can involve power, network connectivity, the processor, a driver or the controlled equipment. We test the signal path before recommending replacement hardware.

Make it maintainable

Review room layouts, remotes, interfaces and recurring faults, then agree documentation, sensible improvements and ongoing support for the equipment that can be covered.

A takeover built around your installation

We focus on the installation as a whole: AV sources, matrix switching, amplifiers, lighting interfaces and the home network where present. A small fault may reveal a wider handover need, but a substantial change is agreed only after its scope and impact are understood.

The first visit and what follows

We agree an engineer assessment before taking responsibility for ongoing care. The outcome is a practical system record and a prioritised proposal: retain, stabilise, recover and improve. Available configuration is protected before changes, and work affecting occupied rooms is planned with you.

Your RTI takeover questions

Can an RTI takeover include the amplifiers and video distribution?

Yes, those dependencies belong in the assessment when RTI controls them. We identify the actual models, access and condition before agreeing what is included in remedial work or a continuing care plan.

Can the programme always be recovered from RTI hardware?

No universal recovery promise is appropriate. We first establish the model, access and available Integration Designer project files. The software auto-recovery feature for an interrupted editing session is not a guarantee that a missing site project can be reconstructed from installed equipment.

Can I request an SLA before you visit?

Yes. Tell us the care approach you prefer. We then assess the installation and propose the scope, monitoring options, response arrangements and price. An enquiry does not activate support or book an engineer automatically.

Technical references

Manufacturer guidance informs the assessment; exact installed models, access and current support status are checked before work is agreed.
